About Me

"Hey there! I'm Reggie, a Black and Filipino children's book author/ illustrator passionate about bringing stories of Black children and families to life, one picture at a time. My illustrations are like a paintbrush, they bring stories to life with a splash of color, vibrancy, and authenticity. When I'm not busy in my studio, you can find me indulging in my love for fantasy, superheroes, and science fiction. In case I ever need to illustrate a superhero story about a lightsaber-wielding alien. I've had the privilege of working with some amazing publishers like Random House, Harper Collins, and Candlewick Books, and I'm even a New York Times bestselling illustrator for the book "Who are your people?" You can also find my work in the chapter book series “The Magnificent Makers”, “Santa in the City”, “Tacko Fall: to new heights” and I even won the Book of the Children's Illustrated at The British Book Awards 2022 for the children book "Hey You!" written by Dapo Adeola. Also in 2023, Reggie was happy to receive the Established Artist award from the California Arts Council.
